About Jeff Strauss

Founder, Leadership Bootcamp

A smiling man with a beard and short hair wearing a blue shirt, posing for a portrait in a circular frame.

I spent five years designing and delivering curriculum for high school students, followed by more than 15 years running technology organizations at companies including Docker, Twitter, Netflix, Snap, and Tinder - and consulting at many more - before I built Leadership Bootcamp. At every one of those companies, I watched the same problem repeat: brilliant people promoted into leadership roles without the operating system to succeed.

At every stop, the work that moved the needle wasn’t the technology, it was the feedback training I designed, the cross-training programs I ran, the manager bootcamps I facilitated, and the culture frameworks I built. I kept doing L&D work inside IT organizations because it was the highest-leverage thing I could do. Leadership Bootcamp is that instinct turned into a system.
